DFDO is known as Dairy Farmers Development Organization which has done great contribution to farmers, under privileged people, Below Poverty Level Income Groups with a contribution of Free Buffaloes, cows, Goats, Sheep for livelihood in many Rural parts of India,Bangladesh,Nepal,Myanmar.
Government schemes are announced in public Media but DFDO has done wonderful services Across many sections. The Place in Madhya Pradesh (India) have witnessed large groups gathering in queues for the chance to receive Free cattle in the early 80s under the guidance of Mr. Voord Gilbert then Chairperson of DFDO in the early Eighties.
The Beauty of the Organization is they distribute the cattle to the Green Vegetation and water Borne area people .Each recipient has to give back one cattle to the new recipient from each of the 4 buffaloes that he/she receives.
Several times Various Governments use to announce Distribution of free cattle like Buffaloes / cows to the poor segments found to be like a mocking one but the DFDO’s distribution found to be true and supportive to Rural Poor People across Asian countries.
The works of DFDO in many times is their motto–"Take One-Share One.”
The chain is growing in many parts of the various countries before the introduction of Technology .
The Technology is nothing but introduction of RFID Cards, Circular Cards to both Mother (Buffalo) and Daughter (CALF).
The Distribution again repeated in various Tehsils of the Asian Region, particularly very recently in the Month of February 2024.
One large area was hired by them to stock up nearly 24,000 Buffaloes near Maksi,M.P in India.
The largest distribution mela(Fair) was held in Indian states Jharkhand , Madhya Pradesh by Mr.Sudarshan the eminent NGO operator in India , so far he has distributed nearly 2,40,000 Buffaloes to 60,000 BPL persons.
After the Free Buffalo Distribution Program, DFDO repeated the program in Sikar in Rajasthan (India) within a week with a distribution of 20,000 Buffaloes and 180 HF Cows in the same year.
Every recipient of a buffalo has to give one calf to the DFDO or can directly give back to new Recipient nearby and can inform about it to DFDO or with the Coordinator near the areas.
